Preparing to be a Family of Four

My wife's due date is fast approaching. It kind of snuck up on me. We have less than four weeks now! Before we know it, we are going to have a beautiful baby girl.

We're doing our best to prepare ourselves to be a family of four.  Jamie has been hitting up garage sales for baby girl clothes. She has been re-organizing the kids room to try to make all the new clothes fit. Knitting projects are strewn all over the house. We've done just about all that we need to, but I still don't feel ready. But I'm not sure if you can ever really be ready.

Before the baby arrives, Jamie wanted to try to get some baby bump pictures. So on Sunday afternoon, we went out to make a go of it. It was bright blue skies and beautiful weather; a great day to be outside.

Here are the shots that we got.

I think we got some good ones. It started out a little rough. Jonah wasn't cooperating and it was really really bright, which made for some harsh shadows. Then we decided to walk further into the woods, and suddenly things started clicking. The light was better. Jonah was more willing to be in front of the camera. It was a good thing we didn't give up right away.

Who knows? The next post I do might be introducing our daughter.
